Our Story
Aegli apartments function as an accommodation from 2017, when the reconstruction of the house was completed. It is a family property that goes from generation to generation. Grandmother Anastasia got her dowry, but during the World War II, it was bombed leaving the grandmother with her three children homeless.
After years, it passed into the hands of her son Manolis and from there to his daughters Anna and Katerina. The house was ruined for many years. In 2014, the two sisters decided to rebuild the home of Grandma Anastasia. In 2017, after many difficulties, the ruined house was transformed into three smaller apartments, designed as a summer residence, as they live in Rhodes. But in the process, the apartments were very popular among friends and relatives to spend their holidays there.
So, Katerina and her husband Lefteris (Terry) decided to promote it online, so that they become a retreat for those who want to visit the beautiful Symi. The complex was named Aegli, as the island called in antiquity. Each apartment is decorated differently, respecting the traditional architecture of Symi.
